Our family recipes and love are the secret ingredients in our delicious Mexican food.

Back in 1970, grandma used to live across the street from an industrial factory in Mexico City.

The smell of her cooking attracted a group of local workers to knock on her door, They wanted to buy her delicious smelling food!

So, she started cooking for them, until one day she had a line up outside her house! It was time to rent a space.

She opened “Fonda-cocina Economica” which translates to ‘cheap kitchen”, All her food was made from scratch with fresh local ingredients each day,

In 1985, La Cocina -‘the kitchen’ - was destroyed after the big earthquake.

Years later, we moved to Vancouver and I started cooking my grandma’s recipes-

People loved it, just like those workers back in Grandma’s day. Soon, Mi Casa- or my house- became the answer to people’s quest for Good Mexican Food.

I knew it was time to branch out- to not just cook for la familia, but for everyone in town! Which brings us to today….

RESERVATIONS

What is the minimum of guests and How can I make a reservation?
We kindly inform you that the minimum number of people required for a reservation is six (6).
Please fill out the form or email us, and our reservation team will get back to you with the necessary info.

15-minute grace period for seating a late reservation?
Out of respect to other present guests with a reservation, we reserve the right to offer your table after 15 minutes. If you arrive with your complete party after our grace period, you will be automatically moved to the waitlist

Gratuity Inclusion
To simplify the payment process for our guests, a gratuity of 19% is already included in the final bill.

OUR RESERVATION POLICY

• CHECK-IN:
  You must check-in with us at least 15 minutes prior to your reservation time.
  IF NO ONE CHECKS IN with us by the time of your reservation, your reso will be automatically dropped. You can check-in with us either by texting us or in person.

• 15-MINUTE GRACE PERIOD:
  Even after you check-in with us prior to your reservation time, we still do have a 15-minute grace period! Everyone in the party must be present in the restaurant in order to be seated and all reservations are held for up to 15 minutes. After the grace period, your reservation will be automatically moved to the waitlist.

• 90-MINUTE LIMIT:
  All reservations are limited to 90 minutes, unless otherwise requested.
